1 to 1 with SideLabs — Wednesday 10 March
We have just had an amazing 1 to 1 meeting with Andy and Shivy from SideLabs. They have some brilliant ideas for improving the Facebook group and will be able to help us make some really positive changes for our families.
We are in the process of their signing an NDA, so we can allow Shivy into the group for the remaining 6 weeks of the project and she can implement the changes for us and monitor their reception and results. Some of the exciting things we are going to try are:
1. Changing the type of group, we have — depending on which option we chose this will open new Facebook features that will help us change the structure of the group and enable users to connect easier, post anonymously if they wish and even gives us new features we may use for new programmes in the future. All we need to do is decide which features we prefer and wish to prioritise, to then know which type of group we’d like to be!
2. More research — depending which type of group we chose to have will give us different options for how to store information within our group, a must have! So far, our preferred group type may not offer the options we’d like for information storage, so we need to look further at these for the different group types and see what other alternatives there could be.
3. Room to grow — some of the group types even offer features that closely align with services we have investigated offering to families pre-covid. It’s really exciting to have options that allow for continued growth.
All of this is subject to change as we move through the project, and will be tested and feedback on before being made public in the group.
There was also a discussion of the entry routes to the group and how we can clarify and streamline this process. We are going to send Andy and Shivy our current process with the registration form and then work over the next few weeks on ideas to improve this.
